With the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, I felt inspired to revisit a Spider-Man vs. Venom illustration I originally created in 2016. These two have always been my favorite hero-villain duo, so remastering this piece—and pushing it further than ever by adding animation—felt especially meaningful.

The original artwork drew heavily from the bold, energetic style of Mark Bagley, a longtime favorite of mine, whom I actually had the chance to show the piece to at a Comic-Con. For this updated version, I wanted to preserve that vibrant color and striking composition while elevating the detail, motion, and overall intensity.

This project celebrates characters I’ve loved for years and marks an exciting step forward in the skills I plan to bring into future work.
